Top 5 tips to freshen up your uni bathroom on a budget

1. Bathroom Accessories!

We know we may be bias, but adding a few accessories to your bathroom is probably the easiest way to inject some personality and style into your bathroom (it’s also really cheap!) Not only is a bathroom set really convenient as you can buy all your bits in one go, you get extra points for matching! We’ve got a few options for you to choose from too – from our bright Island Blue to the ultra-stylish Malta, you can decide exactly how you want your space to look. If you’re looking for something that is as elegant as bathroom accessories go, then Noa is the range for you.

2. Bin it!

If you’re lucky enough to have your own bathroom, it’s up to you to keep it nice and clean. One easy (and inexpensive) way to do this is to add a bin to your bathroom. Now, a bin can still be as stylish as it is practical – just look at our Marble Pedal Bin for example. We’ve also got co-ordinating products to match if you feel like going that extra style step further. Did someone say super-chic, affordable luxury?

3. Add candles and plants

So, aside from all the practical ways to freshen up your bathroom, we reckon there’s some space to get a bit personal – and an excuse to buy some cute decorations. As with all uni accommodation, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll be able to fix things to the wall (and you may get charged for accidentally taking paint off the wall with your posters!) so, it’s a good idea to decorate with stuff that you can take with you and doesn’t cause any damage. Queue a long afternoon of candle and plant shopping – sounds great to us! Not only does a plant look great in a bathroom, but you can pop some in your bedroom too. Easy peasy – and pretty cheap!

4. Easy bathroom storage

As you’re away from home, there’s no way that you can cheekily steal your family’s toiletries if you run out - so you’ll need to stock up. When buying in bulk, it’s easy for the clutter to pile up so storage is a necessity. A quick trip into your local town centre means you can buy some cheap, plastic boxes to slot into your bathroom. You can find some pretty cute colours and the material makes them really easy to clean too. Winner winner (and your mum will be proud!)

5. Have some fun with bathroom design

Shower curtains – you either love them or you hate them. In a uni bathroom, the chances are that you’ll have one, so you’ll need to learn to get along with it pretty quickly (just like your new flatmates!) so it may as well be a fun, right? How about a Pineapple Shower Curtain or a Flamingo Shower Curtain? They’re both pretty funky and are definitely an inexpensive way to inject some personality – prefect for waking you up for those early morning lectures! Oh, and they’re anti-mould so that’s one less thing to worry about as often…

Has that helped a bit? Make sure you share with your Mum, Dad, Aunty, Uncle, Gran, Grandad etc. as a hint to buy you some uni accessories. It’s all in the name of your education right? Good luck and enjoy every minute!
